PDF Now an ISO Standard

Stephen Partridge, the business development Manager for Acrobat has announced on his Adobe Blog that the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) voted to approve Adobe’s PDF as an international document format standard. The ISO standard number is ISO32000.

Slick data-visualizer launched for QuickBooks users

Intuit is announcing on Monday a Flash-based Web service that companies can use to geographically visualize their customer data and business activity.

Customer Explorer is being unveiled at this week’s Adobe Max conference in San Francisco. Customer Explorer, available at the Intuit Workplace, imports QuickBooks data and overlays it on a live map.

Microsoft’s power with programmers is tethered to desktops and laptops, the vast majority of which run Windows. Google is trying to dominate what it believes is the new frontier, cloud computing, where applications run on the Web.
